Storytelling in design
Paul's current work focuses on visualization of eMail and threaded discussions, and the use of storytelling in the product development process. He is also co-founder of the Collaborative User Experience Research Group , which explores Concept Computing. Paul previously conducted research into hypertext navigation, collaborative browsing, and Sametime applications.
An IBM Senior Technical Staff Member, Paul serves on IBM's MIT MediaLab steering committee fostering collaboration between the MediaLab and Lotus/IBM, and works within Lotus to foster the design community.
Prior to coming to Lotus, Paul designed several information retrieval products at Sun Microsystems, was a Co-founder of ON Technology, designing collaborative and information retrieval systems, and designed both business applications and video games at General Computer, an Atari R&D lab.
BFA in Communication Arts and Design from Virginia Commonwealth University, Richmond VA. Paul joined Lotus in 1991, and Lotus Research in 1996.
