Steve Rohall is a senior technical staff member (STSM) in the Collaborative User Experience Research Group. Steve is currently working on visualizations for electronic mail and "casual" information displays. Previously, he has worked on alternative viewers for Notes and mobile computing applications. Steve joined the Lotus Research group in May, 1998. Prior to Lotus, Steve worked at TASC (Reading, MA) where he led the Visual Information Environment Prototype project, a system for collaborative decision-making using distributed applications and reliable multicast communications. He also worked on a number of Internet-related projects including a subscription-based Web site providing equity information. Before TASC, Steve worked at Bellcore (now Telcordia Technologies, Morristown, NJ), where he was a developer on the Rendezvous system for building synchronous, collaborative applications. At Bellcore, he also worked on information filtering and user interface development. In addition to real-time collaboration and user interfaces, Steve's interests include network communications and multimedia.
Steve has an SM and an SB in computer science from MIT.
