Emeritus research staff member
Dr. Levine is a Research Staff Member in the Physical Sciences Department at the Thomas J. Watson Research Center. He received his B.S. in Physics at M.I.T. in 1958 and his M.S. and Ph.D. in Physics at the University of Minnesota in 1960 and 1962, respectively. He joined IBM in 1962 at the Watson Laboratory in New York City. Dr. Levine is the author of 19 papers on low temperature and ultra-low temperature physics, superconductivity, gravity wave detection, and computer technology. He holds 31 US patents on touch screens, eye-controlled computers, presence sensors, and other aspects of interactive computer technology. He is currently working on ways to improve computer accessibility for those with hand tremors.
