About me

Senior Manager, Services Information and Analytics
Research lab: India Research Lab
I joined IBM India Research Laboratory, New Delhi, in June 2000. I manage the Services Information Management and Analytics (SIMA) group at IRL. The SIMA group is currently focusing on projects related to application of information extraction, natural language processing, information retrieval, data analytics and machine translation to service delivery. In particular, we deal with unstructured and noisy multi-lingual information sources such as Web pages, documents, e-mail, ticketing systems, on-line databases, team rooms, and IT monitoring systems to generate business intelligence and insights that can improve the quality, productivity and efficiency of IT and contact center services. We also build analytical models and solutions for knowledge process outsourcing, and tools for workforce optimization in IT services. My previous research encompasses many aspects of data mining, text mining, pattern recognition, fuzzy set theory, neural networks, computer vision and image processing. I am an IEEE Fellow and a member of Technology Council of the IBM Academy of technology.
