I got my B. Tech at I.I.T Delhi ('97) and M.S. and Ph.D. at Stanford University ('05), all in Electrical Engineering.

I work in the Business Analytics and Mathematical Science Divison and am part of the Probabilistic Analysis and Optimization group. We apply methods and tools from applied probability and optimization to problems arising in complex systems such as business organizations and stochastic processing networks.

More generally, I have a broad background and interest in:

• Probabilistic Algorithms, Combinatorial/Stochastic Optimization and Information Theory
• Design and analysis of algorithms for Networks, Switches and Queuing systems
• Digital Communication and Storage Systems - Signal Processing algorithms, Coding schemes

I am an adjunct faculty in the Computer Science dept. at Columbia University for the Spring '09 term, teaching "Modeling and Performance Evaluation".
